It definitely makes it more challenging to become a successful ruler. This was the first mod I ever installed after getting somewhat bored with the Vanilla game. This mods mainly changes the existing mechanics in the game and was designed to deepen the game experience for seasoned players of the Vanilla version by making it increasingly more difficult.
